I met Kat of KatWalkSF in October, and I thought, "Meh. She's okay." Also, sarcasm is like a foreign language to me.

Obviously, Kat's got #swagfodayz, but what I love most about her personal style is her ability to effortlessly add hints (or heaps) of edge to otherwise completely classic looks.

We partnered up to do a Double Take, which not only highlights our personal styles, but also shows just how unexpectedly versatile a piece can be. The funny thing about this project is that I identify my personal style, for the most part, as pretty preppy. But when I looked at the pictures, I discovered that this look is much closer to boho-prep than I thought when I first put it on. Though I may have missed the mark in terms of my personal style, it was fun to change it up a bit. Maybe living in the mountains of Denver is making me more laid-back, casual and cool, and a little bit hippie...

Yeah. Right.

The best thing about this dress is how versatile it is. Not only will it take you from fall, through winter, and well on into spring with the swap of a few accessories, but it's also an easy fit for so many personalities. Whether you're going for preppy, boho, mod, something in between, or something else entirely, this dress just works. Also, at $25, this dress is a steal, which I obviously don't hate.

Check out my girl Kat to see how she styled it on KatWalkSF.
